Teaching for the Future

“How do we educate our children to take their place in the economies of the 21st century?”

Anybody can see that our world is changing. It’s changing more than ever before. As educators, we are training students for jobs that don’t yet exist. We are teaching them to use technologies that have not yet been invented, and giving them the confidence to solve problems we don’t yet know about. We have a particular set of thoughts on education, often influenced by our own experiences in school. These paradigms may need to shift in order to remain competitive in the coming years.

Where do the students fit in? A vivid TED Talk by Sir Ken Robinson discusses how to prepare our students for the coming decades. He gives a taste of what it will take to produce the most well-trained students entering into adulthood.
